'Submittal Exchange' - Admins Move this?

Looking thru my options, I couldn't find a spot to put this. So....

Have any of you heard of 'Submittal Exchange'?

One of our Contractors is starting to use it and I am looking for opinions on it.

I read thru the .pdf explaination about it and it sounds like the way of the future - like it or not.

There will probably be a host of sites that offer the same type of service.

I will post my opinion of it once I use it a few times.

Craig,

Thanks for the link.  I didn't have the time to read it but I agree that this is a good way to go.

Currently, when we have a project go out to bid, we set up a transfer drive that all bidders can access.  On this drive are downloadable plans, specs and contract documents, places to post RFI's, and similar.

After the contract is let, the transfer drive is restricted to the appropriate contractual personnel and then serves as our communication center between all the parties involved.

It works well.  Although I think it works at all only because of it's simplicity.
