Topic: Grading Out at Corners

How do you deal with grading outward at a 90 degree corner? When you grade out it wants to fillet the corner making it rounded which one does not always want.

It's ugly, but I let the grading object do it's thing, then explode it by picking the OUTER feature line. This leaves me a feature line I can edit and remove the arc. Stretch, extend, etc to get a nice corner elevation.

Like I said, but I can get close enough for those few times it really irks someone enough to make me get rid of the arcs.

start and stop your grading regions just before the intersection.

!!caution should be used to NOT use the undo command after relocating the grading projection grips!!

I didn't know you could relocate the grips? What can you do with that?

I tried to stop at the corner and do two projections, but on the second one it behaved differently and asked for a distance of sorts...

the grading thought you overlapped and asked for a transition distance.....

moving the grips allows one to fine tune the gradings
