Align View with UCS
« on: November 07, 2008, 10:54:49 AM »
How do I align my view with the UCS.  I know I can align the UCS to the view but can't figure out how to go the other way.

a handy trick would be to select some objects, in the current desired view
Rt-Click and enter the object viewer...
do not change the view,
go up an hit the target reticule (two concentric circles) this will SET the view
then close the object viewer
your view will now match...

I think this does what you are after....

what exactly are you after?

type 'plan' and follow the prompts (I don't have cad handy sorry) and it should set the view to the current ucs.

default prompt is to set the view to the "current" ucs.

So bascially if you want to set your view to the current XY plane... type plan, 'enter' twice.
