Setup for my AutoCAD .net api application
« on: November 11, 2008, 12:44:16 PM »
Hello: I'm trying to find out if there's any way possible to place my .net application on a server verses, having to set up each client to run it. I understand from talking w/ resellers that I will need to purchase standalone licenes for any full time users of the app - and also that they will need to have autocad installed on their pc. but, can't i still have it placed off a server? I hate the idea of having to update each client everytime I upgrade my version.

Are there any written materials on how to set it all up?

thanks,
Proctor

You can use CASPOL, as shown near the bottom of this page:

Just beware that you probably don't want to do this if you have a network that goes up and down with any regularity.  If your network is generally reliable, though, you should be OK.
