here's another request or challenge to make it easier to use Bricscad more efficiently, if you will...
can someone help to code a Block Library Manager (BLM) with a 4x4 or 6x6 preview array combination of a Library, its Categories and Types (Blocks) in it for eg.
Library – Door, Windows (or Sanitary)
Category – Aluminium, Timber (or WC, Basins)
Types (Blocks) – Single leaf, Double Leaf Doors,... (or different models of WC, different sizes of Basins..)
this BLM should also have the feature to create the Library/Category/Block with Attributes ad-hoc
it should also have the Backup and Restore feature to backup all the blocks and restore them to the original folders or update the blocks in other workstations..
anyone willing to code this or is there one coded already?
how do i search the archive for same topic instead of creating duplicates?

Block Library has been revised to be compatible with AutoCAD 2008. The dialogs with slide images have been redesigned and enlarged to accommodate space for longer block names. Block Library is an AutoLISP utility for managing blocks by storing blocks and block slides images in Block Libraries. The block slide images can be quickly viewed in the Block Libraries before inserting them into a drawing. Blk_Lib requires functions inside of GetIcon.lsp.
But it is not assured, whether it will work in BricsCAD
