I need help

Okay, I guess overlaying an x-ref has its purpose.  However, why should I have to go back in "Their" Master files and attach the x-refs so I can see them when I put "Their" master plans into my drawings?  Anybody have a lips file that will do this for me?  Any help is always appreciated.
