The @ symbol...
« on: October 09, 2008, 06:42:19 PM »
A bloke I know is having trouble trying to move parts of his drawing using coord input....e.g. he selects the centre of a circle as point 1, then types 1,1 as point 2.....but his acad is defaulting the point 2 to @1,1.

Sysvar or something adding in the @?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Our own Kate has the answer.

I think this is what you are looking for?
I + XI = X is true ...  ... if you change your perspective.

What do the prompts say at the command line?
Code: [Select]
Command: _move 1 found
Specify base point or displacement: Specify second point of displacement or
<use first point as displacement>: 1,1

PS Never mind Ted had the answer, too quick :-)

Why is she "our own" Kate?

Because Kate is a member of our community, and has been for a very long time. She's a very knowledgeable and helpful person (who happens to now work for Autodesk) :)
Thanks for explaining the word "many" to me, it means a lot.

Good response Tracey...I thought about it, then decided my response would not do justice to Kate.

Also....I'm cranky with her for not coming to the middle of nowhere to see all us caddies here.....mawhawhaw

Honest Kate...there would be like hundreds of us here....but no-one ever comes to see us...because we are in the middle of nowhere.  :-(

Except she's going to be in your part of the world.  Seems like it would be less inconvenience for you to go the rest of the way to her.
