3ds Max

I am having trouble with Vray not working. I down loaded the demo version for 32 bit 3ds max (the one that I have) installed it but it wont show up in max. any suggestions?

1) What version of max are you running
2) When you say "it won't show up", do you mean it doesn't appear as a valid renderer in the Rendering Options?

2009, yes that is correct it is not coming in as a valid renderer in the rendering options

So long as you installed the correct VRay for 2009 and pointed it at your installation correctly (though from memory it should find it on its own) I see no reason why it doesn't appear.

Is there a path in your max configuration ini?  I can't remember whether it installs to the max folder - if it does, can you check whether there is a VRay folder there, if not what is in the install folder?  Is there a configuration program?

Sorry, its been a couple of years since I've used VRay or Max

yes it was in the max folder. I set it find the folder and to install there. But it is not being recognized in Max

Sorry, I can't really help past that, short of saying to try re-installing VRay.
