Where can I get topographic data in CAD form for my state?

I am trying to get topographic data for the entire state or Hawaii in a CAD format that can be imported into our AutoCAD drawings or Revit models. Does anyone know where I can get this? I am assuming if available they would be available for purchase which we wouldn't mind paying at all. If anyone has information on this please let me know. Thanks so much!

I don't know Revit, but can you use DEM or NED data to create a surface?

You can get that from NRCS:

Can you create the surface using this data in AutoCAD? or what program will I need to create the surface? Thanks, maybe this gives me something to start.

How do you import the GIS data into a software like AutoCAD? This is my first attempt at trying this.

www.geocomm.com is a great source

they have free data and purchase data....
