THats ok buddy, I appreciate the help. Things started working better, I figured out that once I get the error, if I shut dowm map and open the map file it works a little bit longer. So after shutting down map about 4 times I finnaly got a descent map started 
. Now I am importing subdivisions, If they dont "pop" into place and I have to move them I get a fatal error (some times)!! Yipee! But hey, at least I can get a map started 
Word is autodesk is frantically trying to fix MAJOR problems with memory allocation and 2009.
