Installing SQL Express

Has anyone had a bootstrap error when installing SQL Express?

I was able to successfully install VB.net and Visual C++ but SQL just does not want to install.

It is VS 2008

Any suggestions?

What is the exact error?  Does it happen if you run the installation more than once? (I guess a silly question but it's still worth asking)
