Okay I need to when a Service Pack was installed?  The exact Date.  Yes the exact date.  Is there a way to dive into the machine or Autocad to get the date of the installing of the SP?  I need to take this information and stuff it up someones **cough** nose becuase they want to do blame game.  :pissed: :pissed:  And having exact dates, there would be now getting around it.

With this big project that we have, we are getting told that we are the ones spreading the scalelistedits bug.  I had the Archie patch for a long time even before this project was a whisper in the wind.  From my post here in The Swamp and when the SP1 was issued by Autodesk that I knew that had this thing installed way before the started.  I guess the we were told not so nicely that it was our fault.  The archie comes out after this fancy webx conferencing meeting and tells me I need to get every machine patch.  I just look at him and then say every seat is patch except for this very machine that I am sitting at.  And I just installed Autocad on it.  It will be patch when I am done with it.   I guess some one in this meeting asked on how to use xrefs after little tirade.

So is there a way to find out when the Service Patch?  I tried going thru Add/Remove Programs that got me nothing.  And thru AutoCad's Help > About > Product Informaton

I think one should be able to go to the folder your product is installed at, and sort by date the files therein.

You can find a list of files changed specifically by the patch here

A quick look at the created date of those files should tell you to the second when it was installed.

If you got to The help on the menubar, then 'about', then 'Product Info' button towards the top, it says in there what service pack & other info.

Yes it was telling me that a Service Pack has been installed but not when.   I need the when part.

At the time of the OP,  I was thinking (it was late so don't ask why and how) that there would be some magical peice of data stored under some rock of bits that would tell me.  I was thinking complicated.  I am sorry.  It will happen again.  :-D

There's nobody here who hasn't missed the simple, obvious, logical solution in an attempt to find the most roundabout way to dig into the guts of acad to do the same thing.  Hell, I might not be the king of it but I must be an Earl at least.  That's why it's fun to poke at other people for doing it.

Saga Update

Well we were chewed out a few more times for the culprit of scalelist bug.  My architect went BS on them and explained what were doing to prevent this problem and went so far to explain my lisp that I added to the startup function.  The response to that was can we have a copy of that lisp?   :-D :-D  A 500 person nation MEP firm and them asking our 12 person firm.  Huh Imagine that  8-)

And Yes I shared this lisp with them.  The simple lisp that someone here (and I am trying fine that post ) suggested in adding  to the startup function.

The lisp is all follows.

Code: [Select]

(command "-scalelistedit" "R" "Y" "E" ) ; DELETES MEMORY SUCKING XREF SCALELIST
(command "-purge" "R" "*" "n"); Purges all annoying PissAnt RegApps

The non-surprising part was that engineers jumping to conclusions and chewing us out.

Back to the thread title.....

It's easy!  Just say "Hey, When, a new service pack was installed for Autocad.  Straight up and to the point.  Simple.

*Thinking "When, what a strange name"*

How sad.  I guess it is true...when one losses their mind, it just goes like <snap> that!
