wbloc render lost
« on: May 26, 2008, 12:15:22 PM »
Hello,
(excuse me but my english is very bad)
The 3D solid having undergone an operation Boolean then transformed into "Wbloc" lose their render (2008 and 2009) "

dwg exemple : file.

give an overview :

the 2 "wblocs" are the same, except subtraction and name....

I think there is something with your Render presets, and or global lighting.

I opened your file and yes it appears to have lost the ability to render.

I insert you file into a new drawing with no modifications to Render Presets or Global Lighting, the rendered image is attached.

This would suggest you insert the file into a new drawing and move forward.

I opened the dwg, exploded the two blocks and listed their properties.  Here's what I found.

Quote
Command: li LIST
Select objects: 1 found

Select objects: 1 found, 2 total

Select objects:

                  3DSOLID   Layer: "Z Rendu Bleu 0"
                            Space: Model space
                   Handle = 14ee4
         History = Record
    Show History = No
      Solid type = Extrusion
 Extrusion height: 0'-1 5/32"
      Taper angle: 0.00
   Bounding Box: Lower Bound X = 0'-0 23/32", Y = 0'-0 27/32", Z = 0'-0"
                 Upper Bound X = 0'-1 23/32", Y = 0'-1 27/32", Z = 0'-1 5/32"

                  3DSOLID   Layer: "Z Rendu Bleu 0"
                            Space: Model space
                   Handle = 14ede
   Face1 Material = Global
   Face2 Material = Global
   Face3 Material = Global
   Face4 Material = Global
   Face5 Material = Global
   Face6 Material = Global
   Face7 Material = Global
   Face8 Material = Global
   Face9 Material = Global
   Face10 Material = Global

         History = Record
    Show History = No
   Bounding Box: Lower Bound X = 0'-2 19/32", Y = 0'-0 27/32", Z = 0'-0"

One has a material attached, the other does not.

Matt that was my FIRST thought. And I proceeded to REMOVE, and then ADD the blue material back to the object that appeared to NOT render, and STILL the render function failed. (Presets, Global Lighting I suspect)

Inserting both objects into a NEW file without the render presets, global lighting settings as found in the source the render worked with no need to add remove materials to the objects.

Perhaps I should have included these troubleshooting steps more completely in the post above.

If you copy the objects, the new ones render fine; but the originals don't.  Maybe a simple copy/delete/move back to original location would be easier?

thank you very much

I did not understand everything, but it is well regarded for the "Face Material" in the list.
but how to change it?

If I did the type of solid and "wbloc" whith 2006, no problem.
If I create a solid and "wbloc" from a .dwt with render pre-made (render/layer), there is error. (2007, 08 and 09)....

If you copy the objects,...
Where ? copy Windows ? (Ctrl+C ?)

Excuse me but I did not understand ( :|)
objects ? no "wbloc" ?

Have you managed to reproduce the problem from a. Dwt with renders inside (for layer) ?
(my friends yes)

The user is suggesting you copy the blocks (autocad copy) they then render correctly.
He also wonders if Moving them would have the same effect as a copy operation does.

L'utilisateur propose que vous copie les blocs (copie d'autocad) qu'ils rendent alors correctement. Il se demande également si le déplacement de eux aurait le même effet qu'une opération de copie fait.

But no... copy or move (in the file) don't change for me...

(thanks for the translation !  :-))

Hello,
I did not manage to solve this problem.
The only solution is to create the piece and "wbloc" in V2006 !!!  :cry:

Do you have the same problem with .dwt which renders by layers ?

Is it a mistake to Autocad 2007/08/09 ?
If yes, how to tell Autodesk ?
