Topic: Wheel Stop Location?

If I have a 19 foot parking space where does the Wheel Stop go?
Is there a set distance? The reason I ask is that I was asked to revise a parking lot plan and the request is to add Wheel Stops & change the part of the parking space beyond the Wheel Stop back to Green Space.

Here in Santa Rosa it's 2 feet back from the end of the "stall".

Oops, I guess 2' can be in different locations
We are allowed 2' of overhang, so the face of the stop (the part that hits the tires) is where the 2' is measured to.

Now for the quiestion of the day. How many new cars are made with a front-of-the-tire fender mounted rearview mirror?

Ours shows 2 1/2' from sidewalk/curb to back of wheel stop. It might not hurt to check the ADA requirements for h/c spaces. http://www.access-board.gov/adaag/html/adaag.htm

It somewhat resembles an older model Toyota Corolla or Tercel as well.

Thanks, I looked at the ADA but nothing about wheel stops.

The measurement to the back of the wheel stop eliminates any variations due to different depth wheel stops.

Speaking of wheel stops... I was in Atlanta recently and noticed they are using plastic, or perhaps fiberglass, wheel stops now. I have not seen this anywhere else, but I did find a manufacturer online for them. Here they're concrete or asphalt.

All I have ever seen here is concrete.
I did see one parking lot where they used one wheel stop that spanned two spaces & therefore were one for every two spaces.
