Post Update: At the request of an end-user, I've updated the extension to support AutoCAD 2011 (while adding 2007, 2008, & 2009 usability also).
GTExplorer is an AutoCAD palette plug-in aimed at bridging the gap between file browsers (such as Windows Explorer) and AutoCAD. As I hadn't touched this project for the past 2 years I decided to completely rewrite it, incorporating any acquired knowledge. I'm really keen on hearing feedback and possibly feature-requests.
Features include:- Palette remains open while drawings are closed.
- Filtered list views for separating CAD within a folder.
- Customizable quick folder links. (To remove any links, delete the corresponding line from the generated ini file).
- Quick link to current active drawing directory.
- Open any file within it's registered default application by double-clicking within the list views, (folders by the computer icon).
Installation:- Save and extract the attached zip file.
- Through AutoCAD, use the 'NetLoad' command and load the corresponding version.
- Initialize the palette through the 'GTExplorer' command.
