Need to help to understand this message

I am trying to save a file and I am getting this message:  Error writing/closing file


 *Warning* Multiply owned object

This means that some object in your drawing is "owned" by more than 1 "parent" object. This happens a lot in Civil3D when copying child styles from one drawing to another.

I have also seen this happen with layers created in code.....let me see if I can find the posts on that.

OK, FOUND it. In essence, if you are using code to create a layer, based on an existing layer, you may get this error.
