Looking for a few Autocad 3d users for test
« on: March 31, 2008, 09:55:55 PM »
First, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
I'm looking for a few users of AutoCAD 2000-2009 that do 3d solid modeling on a
regular bases to beta test a 3d Multi Solid Stretch program.
Testers that give good feedback may get a full working version at the end of
the beta.
If you're interested in this great tool to compliment your 3d modeling
skills, please contact me at info@acadianagraphics.com
Thanks
Jason Rhymes

Will it have an API??

If you mean a cross platform API, then no. It's language dependent and not open source. sorry.

BTW, I've posted the beta on my website www.acadianagraphics.com for anyone to download and try but please give me feedback, positive or negative if you do.
Thanks
Jason

I half expected to get RickRolled... but it looks legit. Looking forward to the "Find Interferences" project.

Yea I'm especially interested in that.  I don't like what Autocad has right now.

I'm going to try and break this thing this afternoon.  I've been on civil projects that we do in 2D this week and last, so I haven't had a chance to use it during work, yet.  Pretty eager, though.  Multiple 3D object stretching is a biggie that Autocad could benefit from.

Scale1D is one of my favorite commands in a CAD application, Rhino

so often it comes in so handy

is that what this is planned to be?

If you have 2007 or better then INTEREFERE works great. The tool I have would be for older versions. Not sure if there will be enough of a demand to put it out.
What version are you using?

An older one. I had a chance to play around in ProE for a while, and the ability to show interferences saved my kiester many times, otherwise it would have been trial and a lot of error.

I don't have anyone that I know of testing the MSS routine on an older version. Did it work okay for you?

Just to bump this up, I've gotten back into some 3d structural modeling jobs again, after saying goodbye to some design/build and foundation design drawings... this tool is the stuff, man.

highly recommend anyone who does Autocad vanilla modeling to check this out if you haven't yet.

Jason'd given me a full license to test it out over the development and it's a superb piece of software, for sure.
