Visibility and Lookup System Variables
« on: March 03, 2008, 05:07:37 PM »
I hope I'm not becomming a pest here.  Tyring to improve my knowledge and skills to improve company efficiency.

So as I'm testing these DB's I'm finding that on some of the machines the visibility grip and choices show up and on other machines only the grip, no choices, therefore can't change the visibility state) at least not right there on the block.

Is there a system variables to control this?

Look at the GRIPS system variable. There is a list of system variables in the AutoCAD help under Command Reference.

Windows 11 x64 - AutoCAD /C3D 2023

It seems that you must have SP1 on all the machines.  There seems to have been a bug fix in SP1 that resolved this issue.  Try that and report back.

All machines have grips SV set the same to 1.
I tried the list of SV'c in the help and a google search, there are just so many I couldn't find the one that specifically controls it.

My machine has SP1 ...works.
Neighbor A machine has no SP ...works.
Neighbor B machine has SP1 ...doesn't work
Neighbor C machine has no SP ...doesn't work

Again pick boxes or grip for visiblility states show up on all machies.  But some of them show no options and therefore can not change visibility. Trying the same block on all machines.

Dude,  I don't know what I was thinking earlier.  You need to have on right-click customization.
