CAD Monkey Check: Set the color of the cursor the same color as the background :-D and see if he/she can figure it out.

...this works with text also...

I'm surprised at all the individual cursor settings.  I'm going to start a dating service with compatibility based on your preferred cursor settings.

"Hi, sweety, I'm a color 30, pickbox 3.  What are you?"

Full screen here. I don't "fake" alignments when using the cursor for drawing, but I do for some annotations and things I want to appear lined up on the plot but which actually don't need to be aligned precisely.

I do use it with the dynamic data display to get approximate distance measurements sometimes, then I actually type the exact distance I want.

This begs the question, "How often do you use the grid snap?"

I use mine rarely, for little I draw is so regular that it is a convenient strategy. Also, I hate changing the snap increment all the time, and when something is really regular I prefer to use ARRAY.

Also, what about the Dynamic Grid?

I seem to hate that thing. I want the grid set to my limits, and that is that. Am I missing out on something powerful there?

I like full screen cursor mostly because that's the way I was raised.  I do use it for eyball aligning crap like leaders but mostly it just feels more comfortable to me.

Next question.

How many of you leave paperspace background color set to white?

Not I.  It goes black the first time I launch acad.

A little thread hijack here, but, hey, I started it.  The dating thing based on cursor settings is takin' off so I have to find a new gig.

Got It!  Ya know those new Tazer parties (used to be Tupperware parties), where they sell tazers to the ladies?

Well!!  I propose to furnish the males that will volunteer to be the "targets" at such parties.  Come on, guys, look at the possibilities!  You will be at the complete mercy of ............  Well let me rephrase that.  This will be the opportunity to show your "stuff" to the fair sex.  Um, that aint workin' either.  O.K.  I'll throw in a mud-wrestling session with every lass that "tags" you?  (bob's company goes down in flames)

AutoCAD since the dawn of time, yep.  Either that or it's just proof that we are both men of impeccable style and taste.

DataCAD defaults Black...

I got used to white when I was using Softplan.  Really not that bad once you get used to it.
