Urgent Viewport Help needed.
« on: August 09, 2004, 05:23:05 AM »
Is there a way I can rotate one of two viewports in a drawing whilst leaving the other unrotated?

I have a buildings with two wings, one at 35 degrees and on at 0 degrees, and I need to show both on a drawing at 0 degrees without changing either of the wings in model space.

any ideas?

Look at mvsetup.

Quote
Enter an option [Align/Create/Scale viewports/Options/Title block/Undo]: a
Enter an option [Angled/Horizontal/Vertical alignment/Rotate view/Undo]: r
Specify basepoint in the viewport with the view to be rotated: _endp of
Specify angle from basepoint:  <Ortho off> -35

another option is to create a new ucs in the viewport and rotate your model to the required orientation.

After rotating the UCS to match the angle, use the PLAN command.

Another option is DVIEW TWIST.
