Just put a "&" in front of the letter you want to be the ALT key.

Barry, Hunter,

I have a recollection that using '&' works fine for modal dialogs ..
.. but, when used with modeless and dockable dialogs the shortcut only works when the dialog ( or one of it's controls ) has focus. This made sense to me at the time but may not be what your users expect.

... should be tested with the current OpenDCL build and documented (for your users) with the application you are building.

Everything will work just as you expect it to, unless your expectations are incorrect.
