Export/Import Visibilty/Graphics Can/I?
« on: December 04, 2007, 06:33:12 PM »
I there a way to export and import Visibility/Graphics settings from one model to another?

And yes, I realize this is a retardedly basic question that I should probably already know.

I don't have Revit open right now, but can you create & export View Templates?

I figured out how to create them but not export them.  I'll look at it more later, had to brute force it for this go around.

Sure, View Templates are the way to go.

Open the file that has the View Template you want and also open the file you want that View Template placed in. Make sure the file that has the existing View Template is the active view.

The answer you are looking for is likely under the pull down menu FILE - Transfer Project Standards
Make sure View Templates are check marked.  Doing this will export that view template into your new project. If you plan to do this often, you should perhaps export this view template into your standard Revit Template that you use to create new drawings in order to use it in future projects without repeating this process.
