Another LT2008 Tables Question - Font size?
« on: November 26, 2007, 09:36:59 AM »
We have many standard tables now set up for our dwgs. All of them were made with Font sizes of .1 Arial.

When we copy the tables into our dwgs, all of the tables fonts change to .08.

1. - What is causing this?

B. - What can we do to fix it so this doesn't happen?

I know I can go into the 'properties' box of the table and fix it. I am looking for a way that doesn't change the font size when we bring them into a dwg.

Check your tablestyle manager, it may be set at that in there.

I DO have it set to .1 in the originating Table. Once I copy the originating table into a new title block, it appears to change that value in the EMPTY cells to what the 'Text Style' in the new title block is set at. - I don't want it to change.

I would think there would be a setting to control this, but have not been able to find one.

It is a Parent Child relationship.

The Destination File must NOT have the same STYLE name as the source (your Table)
otherwise when one inserts that table with the SAME NAMED style it assumes the properties of the file you just inserted it into.

IF however your table (source file) style had a different name than any style in the destination file it would retain it's original properties.

You have the same TEXT style name with two different heights. Nothing to do with table styles, except that the table style references the text style.
