Dynamic Blocks Losing Dynamic Properties
« on: November 27, 2007, 12:59:54 PM »
Has anyone else had a problem with this? I have a drawing with about 300 dynamic blocks in it and some of the blocks just lost it!

thanks,

Ron

Here is a test drawing: If a block it rotated, it loses it's dynamic properties.

Even after you rotate it? (using the rotate command)

2008 Vanilla here, and it died when I rotated it. What did you use to create it?

I deleted your invisible attributes, saved, and it worked... Rework your attributes, and let us know what you find eh?

Hi guys

I had the same problem today (DB's worked okay in 2011 but if they were rotated in 2007 they lost their Dynamicness (tm)) and it drove me nuts. I thought that I tried everything to solve it and nothing worked.

When I shut down Acad and rebooted the computer DB's were back to working in 2007 the way that they should (i.e. you could rotate them and they'd still be working).

Hopefully the solution is that simple for everyone else (the blocks were created in 2007)

I used to have the same problem with a bubble dynamic block I created when I would rotate it in v2008. From what I remember, there was a hotfix for 2008, but beyond that, I can't really remember if it fully resolved it.
