2002 Question

Well, lets see how much you guys know your stuff on this newer version of ACAD. We installed the bonus tools yesterday and they work great but now have noticed that a majority of our main autocad tools no longer function. Some that won't work are:

appload (I did get it to auto load it)
properties
eattext
meetnow
publishtoweb
vbarun

and many others. Any ideas what has happened?

Daron -

Don't you mean the RS (reset) command?

No. Whenever I have a problem, the first thing I do is repair the software install under control panel/add remove programs. In XP you can go in and hit the change button and in the dialog box that comes up, make it repair the corrupted file. This usually helps. I don't know if it's possible in pre-XP.

Never mind fellla's! Everyone just needs to line up and kick me in the ass. Everyone take a number. I finally found the damn problem after going through several uninstalls. It wasn't the Express Tools, it was in the Options dialog. Under the Open and Save tab down in the bottom right corner:
ObjectARX Applications was set to disable load on demand.

I meant to disable the XREF demand loading. Oh well, I am now the king of Install/Unistall 10 times in an hour.
All hail the JackAss has arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"BONUS TOOLS" ???  They were called "BONUS TOOLS" for R13, if that is the version you're using, I think you may be outta luck.  Loading the old versions of Bonus/Express tools may conflict with functions that are now in the core program, and many of the old ARX based functions will not work in the newer ACAD Releases.

Express tools for R2002 were/are not free and need to be purchased from AutoDESK.  Express tools for R2004 were free, in the box with the software.

Ahh! Sorry Craig. I didn't think of that solution. I did the same thing when I first loaded ACAD2002 on other machines. Mine worked fine, but everybody else's was screwed up. I had to call my reseller. They are actually smarter than they appear.
