Vista and vl-registry-write
« on: May 04, 2007, 05:11:24 PM »
Does anyone know if you can write to Vista windows registry using vl-registry-write?

Gary
Why is there never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over?

When I was looking into getting CAD 08, my reseller told me not to run it on Vista. I don't know why, or if that is just a suggestion or not.

Thanks.

Vinalla autocad 2008 seems to work fine on vista. I am experiencing problems with my customation routines that write to
windows registry....but in the mean time we have gone back to autocad 2008 on windows xp.

If you don't get an answer, I will let you know soon, I will be testing this sometime this week

Thanks

I would test further, however we have already replaced vista with windows xp.
It was a time crunch thing...no time to debug it now.

Well my app ran out of the box with Vista, which does both reading and writing to the registry.
no problems here

Thanks Dan

I should have checked into more before posting. Maybe we will try again soon with vista and autocad 2008.

Quick update.. Got all of my customization working with autocad 2008 adt and windows vista.
I have a read error in my initialize file in the "Save and Restore AutoCAD Paths" part of my
routine. Everything seems to be running smoothly.

All is well. All is well.
