Matt, isn't the value of FACETRES of your scene too low ?
Probably.... I think it's set to 1.  I'm going to bump it up to 10 and do another rendering overnight.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Awesome stuff, Bert.  http://www.autodesk.fr/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=458335&id=5545062 is my favorite... stylish!  I've found that 3dsmax is an awesome tool... I wish our type of work would make it worth owning a copy lol... I'd love to do that kind of stuff more often.

Thanks for sharing.

Gotta remember he's not using USA version :)  try "viewres"  check it in the help file, it'll tell you exactly how it works with facetres as well

Am I stupid ? "vue" is a french word, I could have thought about it. However, most of the time, variables don't change across the ocean.

Josh, Your favourit is also mine. The modeling took me less than an hour. It is true that those renderings are beautiful. The guy is an architect from Bulgaria, I met him in Sofia, we had a friendship and he offered me to render my works.

At the time, I thought I would sell 3D and images but I finally became an independant AutoCAD teacher and programmer. I almost never made good business with renderings. Too expensive and difficult to find a lot of clients.

But modeling our own office is a cool exercise.

I know about VIEWRES.  I thought RESVUE was some new option for 2007.

Now why in the holy hell would ADESK do THAT??!?  It just makes things more difficult for everyone!!

I agree, it is a bit strange.
I've always use Acad as a 3D modeler, since 2000, my first version.

You'll find me crazy but I prefer the 2006 rendering engine ! (maybe I'm old fashion)
Easier, settings bycolor, programmable, ....

By the way, did you know that the 2000-2006 engine is from 3DS R3 ?

All I could do in a half hour window.

That's pretty sweet, regardless of time constraint.  I like Softplan's renderer... produces good images for this type of stuff.  I was hoping you'd give it a whirl.  Looks cool, nice detail touches like the photo on the wall and the window image.

Now, am I crazy or do you have marble or marble-colored-laminate countertops for your desk?  If so... fancy schmancy.

Marble colored laminate.  They are quite a bit darker, I just have the light too bright.

Of course..... my office is never that clean.  :-D

So this isn't my office, but it is a project I've worked on this week...
