Materials and Textures resources? Where?

So here's a quick poll/pooling of all our favorite materials/textures resources.

Where do you get your textures/materials when you need something that the basic pack doesn't cover?

Me?  http://images.google.com with a few advanced search options for file size on, usually.  I can't see spending money on anything at TurboSquid, though it's tempting...

I've also found some good resources at www.deviantart.com which is a digital art site (warning... not entirely work safe) that caters to 3d decently well, with a whole section devoted to 'resources'

Other than that... when doing my general browsing, I scavenge from time to time...

*cough* games *cough*

Seriously I get many the same way you do.  There are a lot of models and textures shared on the site of the software I use.  Honestly when I want to do a real nice model..... I find a house that has the same siding, stone, whatever..... take a digital pic of it and then play with it until it tiles nicely.

Yea, I forgot about that!  I've often cropped sections out of job site photos we have to get nice painted-but-rough textures for steel and such!  I can't wait until I go offshore again... need to bogart the camera more, this time.

I didn't even think about GAMES... wish I still had more :/  I don't know that I have many applicable texture-reapable games atm, though.. I'll have to keep an eye out... 'sides I don't really play them much anymore.  Though I told myself I'd buy one newer badass computer game when I get the new computer for working at home (finally an excuse to get badass hardware)

Here are a couple of sites from my web links.  I've got a few more, but it appears some of them are dead links.  If I can get around to cleaning them out I'll post up the remaining sites.
