Windows lways short files By Size
« on: December 31, 2006, 12:54:12 PM »
For some strange reason , My Win XP (pro) lately keep shorting my files By Size . Whenever I bring out the Open  File dialog box , called from any program , including AutoCAD , the files listed are shorted by size instead of By Name that used to be ... Can anyone help me restore this seting (or whatever it mightbe) ?

iliekater I quoted your post and changed the spelling from the word "shorting" to "sorting", I truly hope that was correct. If not please feel free to flame me for it. *grin*

Try setting up the file view in windows exploere how you like it, then Tools->Folder options->View Like Current Folder.

You know you can click on the headers to sort by different things, such as date, name or file size...

Noooooooo , get out of here ! I don't believe you .

Seriously now , the problem was that windows used to sort it that way EVERY time , on EVERY program, no matter how many times set it to sort them by Type .

Personal pet peeve of mine...

Basically means that the person has re-evaluated their opinion of you.

But not necessarily in a bad way.  It could be good.  Often I took this as a bad thing, and I didn't understand it either.
Everyone has a photographic memory, Some just don't have film.
They say money can't buy happiness, but it can buy Bacon and that's a close second.
Sometimes the question is more important than the answer. (Thanks Kerry for reminding me)
