Word of mouth does a lot, especially in a market as small as the CAD market.

second, Opensource can be modified by anyone....expert or novice.
so was afraid about the final result and support.

Yes Open source can be modified by anyone, that's the benefit of it. A novice user can download OpenDCL & learn from it. A novice user can not upload there screwed up code to the OpenDCL/SourceForge site. An export user can download OpenDCL & fix bugs & add now features to it. Owen has done a great job at re-structuring the OpenDCL code to be more stable and easy for anyone to expand on it. Chad did a great job with ObjectDCL but he wrote it with only himself in mind, not a community in mind. The OpenDCL community is doing a great job supporting each other & the final result will be amazing.

third, I think on honest people who bought a licence of ObjectDCL an was opensource the day after.
The ObjectDCL site was down for 1.5 - 2 years, so no one bought a license the day before it went open source...

There were other sites selling ODCL. Cadopolis and Tenlinks come to mind.
