2d Polylines and viewports

I have a function that swaps every 2d poly into a lwpoly but I've just noticed if a 2dpoly is clipping a viewport (dxf 340 for the viewport I think) and you swap it, you delete the viewport. I'm wondering what would tell me that this is a clipping poly

I have no idea, but I thought I would throw out that its in PS instead of model?  Is there a dxf code for attachment?
