Uhh.... right now, all I can think of is Deldup.lsp

Whether it helps you or not, I don't know...

What if you wblock it out to something else?

There are no entities (visible) left in the drawing, and I tried Wblock as well as copy/paste with no success.

What is the curent layer and dimstyle?  Any blocks listed that ARE referenced?  Have you confirmed any layouts are empty with a zoom extents after all of this purging?

Just took care of all the obvious maintenance...

I'm thinking it has something to do with the dictionary entries, they might be tied to unreferenced ents from LDT or something similar...

I need to contact the originator of this drawing, but I'm the only one here at the moment.

I know there are still layer filters to delete and all, but I'm not convinced that that is taking up 3meg. The "Dictionaries = 8" in MP's tool is what I'm looking at for now. Does anyone know if I'm on the right track for getting this file down to nothing?

Layer filters can easily take up 3meg.  Try deleting them.

There's a company we deal with occasionally who has this problem running rampant.  Every file I get from them is at least 10x the size it needs to be, because of layer filters.  I wonder how they do backups...

I've even sent them a routine that deletes layer filters, but they still have the problem....  Oh well...

I haven't had to deal with that in a while.

New contract/place/position

I move around alot, but somehow manage to stay in one place. I wonder how many people realize the wealth of information flowing from here? I'm 2 for 2 today in problem solving, granted they wern't major issues, but nonetheless, 2 problems solved with the help of TheSwamp is quite good in my book. I'm rambling...

Thanks again sinc.

Have a beer on me.

I beleive you can lead a horse to water but can't force him top drink comes to mind...

I've talked until I was blue in the face about purging and deleting layer filters and people still don't understand. I mean if it takes over 5 minutes to save a drawing, I'd run a simple command to clean that stuff out. But some people think it's "job security" or something like that to just sit there while the computer chugs away. let alone if they are working over "the wire"... then it takes 10 minutes...
