dashdot won't print dot
« on: September 13, 2006, 11:44:09 AM »
We just got a new printer, (Canon IR5570), & when printing it doesn't print the dot in the dashdot linetype. - When using a magnifying glass, you can see a VERY small dot, otherwise you can't see it.

What do I adjust in CAD to fix to fix this?

I tried that, didn't work.

I thought about adjusting the aclt.lin file, but would have to reload the dashdot for every dwg we have already drawn & would mess up the printing for everyone that prints from a different printer.

I'm VERY embarassed to admit this but....

I went to 'printing preferences' under my printer & it has a tab called 'Quality' - I set that from 'Text' to 'Designs (CAD)' and that fixed it.

- Just another case of thinking too hard instead of stepping back and figuring out what's REALLY going on.

Sorry to waste everyones time,

We might have given you the correct answer, but no, you had to limit our abilities!   :realmad: :pissed: :realmad:
