wall cleanups
« on: July 20, 2006, 12:51:23 PM »
I have three wall styles that were created with standard wall cleanup styles. I need them each to have their own cleanup styles, so I created them. The problem I'm having is getting them linked to their respective styles. I know I can select the walls on the screen and under properties change them, but how do I attach them to the wall styles before I bring them in? ADT2006

Insert the walls into your drawing using the tool palletes.  Create the wall and set it up the way you want it (i.e. wall cleanup group).  Then select the wall, click on it again and hold, drag it to the tool pallete and drop it.  Now whenever you click that tool, all those properties will be preset, including the path to the drawing that it's pulling the style from.

Thanks. That's what I did. Isn't there a way to set them when creating styles though? There used to be.

Not that I'm aware of.  I haven't been as involved with ADT as I used to be (all my stuff is already set up), so I very rarely explore anymore.
