Graphical List of Inserted Blocks
« on: June 26, 2006, 11:04:32 AM »
I thought I had seen something somewhere that would let me see a 'thumbnail view' of the blocks already inserted in a drawing instead of the list.  Was I dreaming?

You can use ADCENTER command, right-click on the "open drawings" and right-click on the "blocks" icon and select "create tool palette"

DataCAD has a manager called "Symbol Browser".  It's used to see an thumbnail of all available blocks and you can also select a folder of what blocks are in the current drawing.  Very nice feature.

The reason I bring this up is because I think you guys could easily create something like it for AutoCAD.  Unless Luis's recommendation is basically the same thing.

Sounds about the same, Greg, but yours sounds like it's more of an 'all in one' package deal as opposed to a couple different functions.
