block question
« on: March 11, 2004, 09:38:10 AM »
i'm doing a complicated stair section which i have made a block so i can copy it out and make changes easily. i have added some dimensions and notes to the block. what i'm wondering is this: is there a way to make a block with leaders and dimensions so that if the block is mirrored the text rejustifys itself?

ummm disregard my last question i realized i'll only be showing the detail once so who cares if it mirrors on the opposite side duh. my next question though is since i have incorported the dimensions and leaders into the block when i redefine it the model takes eternity to regenerate. is there anything i can do to help this?

Dan,

Was just looking at some tof the variables and don't know if this will help you but....:

Type: Integer
Saved in: Drawing
Initial value: 1
Controls how theMIRROR command reflects text.

0  Retains text direction
1  Mirrors the text

Is the block text actually an attribute? If its not it will just mirror with the rest of the block.
