Download this zip. It's an eTransmit file of a drawing that has two pieces of text in it. They both say the exact same thing, but the letter W and the word DEEP in the one are, when in lower-case, converted to fractions, as is the way the other one should be. What is it that is making the text in lower-case, convert to fractions. I guessing it has something to do with the font file it's using, but changing it didn't seem to help anything.

I opened the drawing without unziping your fonts and both W & w are correct, no fractions.
Perhaps you can delete the font file you imported because acad is finding it first when opening?

I think when changing font and shape files you need to exit acad for the changes to take.

Well I asked Lucy!
and she said what the hell you talking about?
font schmont  :P

ditch that simplex2 font or at least select a different on for it to use.
I did a search on simplex2 & came up pretty empty.
Autocad had a simplex2 released in the R14 days
I downloaded that file and it was different to the one in your zip file. It behaved normally.
The one youv'e got only has 7 letters that show as alpha symbols b,c,m,n,v,x & z all the rest have either fractional symbols or a centre line type symbol ie CL overlapping.

So I would say its a custom written font for specific purposes.

Must be a freak font brought in by our last acquisition.
