Excel insert to Table?
« on: January 13, 2006, 12:09:20 PM »
I've just upgraded to 2006 and I'm trying to bring in an Excel spreadsheet. I'm using Paste Special and it is coming in as a table object. But as I've seen on one of their Webcasts, it's not coming in with the formulas as fields or the same formatting as the original spreadsheet. I'm using an older version of Excel from Office 2000. Does anyone know if I need to upgrade my version of Excel to get this to work properly? Or am I missing something else?

Thanks.

Ken

Hi

The following gives you the requirements for copying and pasting Microsoft Excel OLE objects into AutoCAD drawings...

ID: TS76460 - Requirements to copy or paste Microsoft Excel OLE objects

From memory I believe AutoCAD 2006 requirements are...

Microsoft Operating system:

Windows 2000 ( Service Pack 4 ) or Windows XP SP 1 or 2

Microsoft Office:

XP SP 2 or 2003 SP 1

Have a good one, Mike

Thanks for the info Mike. That's kind of what I was thinking. At least it gives me a good reason to get them to upgrade our Microsoft Office package.
