Sheet Set Manager 2006
« on: November 12, 2005, 04:09:26 PM »
OK, I have never used sheet set manager before. This is supposed to be like Batch Plot Utility, sort of, yes?

I see how to import the layouts. No prob there. Now, is there a way that you can specify a pagesetup from there or do you have to go to every layout and set it as the current one, save, close and then use the Sheet Set Manager to plot? Pardon my Sheet-Set-Manager green hue.  :-D

In the Sheet Set Manager you will see a yellow plotter. That is the Publish button. Next to it is an arrow. Click on the arrow and select Show Dialog. If you click on that you can then select any drawing you want to plot. It will show you the current page setup for each drawing you selected and will allow you change them all to one setup, importing where it needs to, or you can use a different setup for each drawing.

I think you can even change the page setup changes back to each drawing.

As to the importing layout, it will use the currently selected page setup but, as you can see above, you are not locked into that for anything. I have mine setup to use a template for each layout that has a page setup already specified.

I have just gotten into the Sheet Sets recently and they are a great addition to Autocad. I especially enjoy the publish in background so I can keep working.
