Speedy fixes like that never fail to impress me.
Hmmm!
AutoCAD 2000 had bad Layerfilters.
AutoCAD 2006 had better Layerfilters.

Hmmm!

I hope that speedy comment was sarcasm. :-o

Be careful with Layer filter...

Make sure to have a routine to discard all this filters...

Guess you don't know me too well -- I've a history of flagging* Autodesk's failure to address bugs and problems with their software products in a timely manner, so yes sarcasm on full stun.

:)

* Flagging, whining, complaining, rediculing ... whatever works.

Craigr
I agree with Biryd
We only use about 15 or 20 layers and I've found the best solution (thus far) is layiso, layoff, layfrz, etc.  We rarely have a need to use the layer manager dialog, and have never used filters.  Works for us. YMMV.
