I am trying to isolate a layer that just has structures on it. I am looking for a method to insert a block (same block) on the selected (windowed) objects insertion points. Basically we usually have to go through each drawing and add a structure protection block around it. The structures move a lot, other than manually eye balling it out and moving it.

Are these 'structures' Vertical (e.g. Civil 3D) objects?

I wish I could help, but I have no experience with objects native to the Verticals

Hopefully somebody more knowledgeable in this regard can step in.

You could start out by inspecting the object properties.
