Tables: Showing only sum of what is on different layers
« on: March 12, 2008, 10:46:11 AM »
How can I just show in a table sum of all the instances of a block per layer?

Background
I have a table that is referencing a handful of instances of a block via the data extraction tool in ACA2008.  The instances are on two different layers; new and existing.  When the table spits out I get a row for every block instance.  I just want to see the sum per layer.  I have seen this done somewhere but haven't been able to find it.

Found it!  X2

Found out where I seen the article in this case a video form Heidi Hewett's Blog for Data Extraction.
The second place I found it was on my computer.  I had already downloaded it.  :loco:

One more reason I like 2008.

Now off to see if it works becuase I am doing something a little different.

That did not give me what I was looking for but it did help get me closer.

For some reason the combine records is grayed out.  Is this becuase I am referencing attributes?
