EATTEXT Default Table Settings
« on: April 17, 2007, 10:26:22 AM »
When creating a table/schedule of attributed blocks using EATTEXT, the column headers are the attribute tags... Pretty useless in my opinion.  Sure they can be changed but if the table needs to be updated, the table reverts back to the default settings.  Is there a way around this (I.E. a way to NOT use the attribute tag but rather something more descriptive)?  I'd really like to utilize this, but the way it is right now (unless I'm missing something) makes it kinda useless for any REAL work.  Also, I'd really like to remove the QUANTITY column, but again, I don't see a way of doing that either.

Once you edit the column headings, you can save a template (page 6 of 6 in 2006) for reuse, the headings don't change when updated (at least not in 2006). As far as the Quantity column, you can hide it so it doesn't show, again this can be saved in a template.

Are your attribute tags not descriptive??

I see where it says "right-click on row or column headers for additional options" but it doesn't give me any options.  Does this happen for you?  Maybe it's a bug in 2007?

**THIS JUST IN**
It doesn't work in LDT 2007, ABS 2007 but it DOES work in C3D 2007.  Go figure.  I guess I'll have to build a template from C3D instead.
