(C3D) No segment labels on Parcels
« on: May 30, 2013, 11:23:35 AM »
For some reason, when i label parcel segments they cannot be seen. They are indeed created because i can Select them. If i use the standard template this is not a problem so its something in my template that is the problem. I can label lines and plines just not Parcels. I've look high and low in my settings but come up empty.

Thanks for any/all help.

Sounds like a Style issue... Compare the default Styles used in your problem model, and the 'standard template' Styles; you may want to copy over the standard template Styles to rectify.

Are the labels being placed on a frozen/off layer? Can you post or email the dwg file?

Is a default segment label style set in your template?

I cannot open your drawing (using 2011/2012 here, 2014 at home).

Building on Alan's post... Start by looking at Toolspace, Settings Tab, Right Click Parcel node, Edit Feature Settings, expand Default Styles node.

What was the answer to the question of Layer(s)?  :?

*shrug* :)

... Now you get to check the Standard style, and ensure there are no overrides elsewhere (i.e., the AddParcelSegmentLabels Command, etc.).

all on zero. other labels show-up just fine.

Mark, I have no idea HOW these settings get changed without manually doing so, but I have seen a number of cases of it 'just happening'. Enter the command DISPLAY, enter S, select the Plan set, make sure the active tab is Display Representation Control, scroll down the Parcel segment labels and place a check in the General column.

While the Style may place each sub-component on the Zero layer, the Label itself can be placed on another layer (which may, or may not be frozen, etc.). Just a thought.
