how do i create a profile?

i know how to get to the profile tab in options but how do i create my own. i now have all of my customizations done under the adt profile but as you know i will be tranferring jobs and would like to have as little setup as possible. do i just need to rename this profile?

On said tab, hit export.  This will create a Name.arg file somewhere on your system. (You get to pick the name/location).  When you get to your new job, just import that profile.  FYI your paths may give you errors because of new cpu and network settings

ok that's what i thought just wasn't willing to take the risk and have everything disappear (again)  :oops: what is the .svf file it also created for?

I dont know???  Maybe something that goes with ADT.  I'll look and see if I can find out.

hmmm... the only time I've seen an SVF associated with profiles is through the Express tools command SYSVDLG that is a dialog box driven SETVAR editor.  Exporting from that command creates a <filename>.SVF.

Look into VARS2SCR as well.
