Display non-xref layers only..
« on: February 18, 2009, 05:51:14 AM »
Hi,

One of my colleagues asked whether in the layer drop-list (in the Layers toolbar), can only internal layers be shown or another way or explaing it is can all layers in x-refs NOT be shown?

I know these can be filtered out in the Layer Manager but we want these to be filtered out and not shown in the standard Layer drop-list..

I'm guessing this would be a LISP or VBA related answer but thought i'd try here first..

Any ideas?

In the layer manager under "Named layer filters", select "Show all Xref dependent layers". To the right of that, check both boxes, "Invert filter" and Apply to Object Properties toolbar".

Take a look in this thread for options using code. Make a layer filter... yes i said MAKE
I use and like MP's version
I + XI = X is true ...  ... if you change your perspective.

I no longer CAD or Model, I just hang out here picking up the empties beer cans

I was gonna say that!

The other advantage of this one is you don't have to keep "un-reversing" whenever you use another filter
