Creating DWFs
« on: August 17, 2006, 10:11:28 AM »
Can anybody tell me what the differences are for different DWF.pc3 files?

We are in a design-build contract.  And the contractor is using software called "On Screen Take Off" which supposedly reads PDFs or DWFs.   He cannot use my Adobe 5.0 PDFs, keeps crashing his system.  He can open DWFs and we tried on and it worked.

So which pc3 would be better for a particular application?  Just looking for someone that has some experience.
Thanks

DWF6 is the latest version -- my guess is that DWF55 is for version 5.5? I'd go with the DWF6, assuming it works.

Oh it works.  I was just wondering which might the best and user friendly.  Supposedly the contractor is now having issues with the DWFs and wants PDFs.  I am beginning to think it is a L.O.F.T. issue.

Thanks.

I think, but  I could be wrong, but I think the plotting version has a higher DPI than the viewing version, which will in turn make ever so slightly larger in size.
