Title: Select File Folder (whatzat?)
Post by: Biscuits on January 06, 2006, 09:32:50 AM
Using ACAD 2002 (still) with Windows 2000 Professional and I have a file folder I'm curious about. It is located under:

Documents and Settings
   my.name
      Application Data
          Autodesk
              AutoCAD
                  Recent
                    Select File

In this folder is a collection of "shortcuts" to every drawing I've opened. I delete these shortcuts (with no bad results) from time to time just to keep up on general housekeeping on my PC. My question is what purpose does this folder and file collection serve? Is there a way to prevent these shortcuts from being created or to automatically remove them if they serve no purpose?

Thanks and Happy New Year to all.
