I'm looking for an electronic copy of an article titled
The AutoLISP Platform for Computer Aided Design
by - Carr, Holt - 1998
anyone ? ? ?
-
I'm guessing that your Google works about the same as mine but have you considered contacting the source (http://haroldcarr.net/computerScience/vita-cs.html)?

... have you considered contacting the source (http://haroldcarr.net/computerScience/vita-cs.html)?
Or Reinaldo Togores Fernández?
-
In case you want to contact Reinaldo, let me know....
-
I had unsuccessfully checked the Carr site, so .. an Email is in the ether ..
I recall seeing a reference by Reinaldo, but not the source.
Thanks Luis, I'll see how successfull the Email is first.

I may actually send him a couple of Emails ...

There was some info about him on David Stein site.... I forgot the url link
-
Unfortunately, Mr Carr does not have an electronic copy.
Luis, I will take you up on your offer. Can you try to get a copy please ?
-
I have a copy. The file name is avlisp.doc. I honestly don't recall where I got it or whether there were any conditions regarding redistribution, but there doesn't appear to be anything in the document itself to bar it.
-
If you determine that you feel comfortable forwarding a copy I'd sure like a boo. Thanks Chuck.
-
I honestly don't recall where I got it ...
Perhaps from this (http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?messageID=421726) thread (doc link is now dead).

I suppose that is possible. I had assumed it was probably linked to in a discussion at the vault, but I used to frequent some of the discussion.autodesk.com groups as well.
I think I'll do a little poking around to make sure it's ok before I upload it anywhere.

Chuck,
Harold Carr's site has his Email address.
I'm fairly sure he would allow the file to be posted, provided you send a copy to him as well.
-
Thanks Kerry. I just fired off an email to the address he listed in the actual document. It bounced.
So that URL would be http://haroldcarr.net ?
-
yep, hcAT.. etc
Invite him over, he may get a laugh :)
-
Just to keep everyone in the loop, I sent Harold Carr an email at the address listed on his site yesterday. As of this moment, I haven't heard back from him. If he doesn't ever reply to my message, there is still a chance I could get permission from his co-author, Robert Holt (assuming I can find a valid email address for him).
Sorry if it seems like I'm dangling a carrot.
-
Thank you for the update Chuck.
PS: I get no sense of dangly carrots.
-
dangly carrots only work with donkeys, so no worries ...
thanks Chuck.
-

-
I received the "go ahead" from Harold Carr this morning.

I'll forward a note to him myself.
-
Excellent -- big thank you to Kerry, Chuck and Harold Carr!
-
I particularly like the visible edits.
-

No can read .doc files.

My pleasure guys.

Well, after all that, I didn't get the information I wanted .. no worries ..
.. But that doesn't detract from the paper at all !
I particularly re-read the AutoLISP and ADS section.
