Title: xrefs reloading when i dont want them to!
Post by: idrawwithcad on September 20, 2005, 02:05:24 AM
hello everyone,

well finally found a small amount of 'quieter time' so i thought i would start to play with 2006...

found something that struck me as odd, and something i havent had trouble with before.  I will do my best to explain!

say i have 3 drawings open, drawings A B & C.  A & B are xref'd into C, however B is currently unloaded.  If i make a change to A, and save it, i get the notification bubble in drawing C.  All good, same as 2005.  However, if i click the link in the bubble, instead of bringing up the xref manager for me to click the reload button for the drawing i changed, it reloads all my xrfefs, even drawing B which is unloaded!

ive worked out that i can just click on the little clipboard thing instead of the text and get the xref manager, but is there anyway to change the way the notification bubble works?  (apart from xrefnotify)

thanks!

I am in 2002 but I have heard you can even turn off those notifications. I would look through help for an answer. There must be a setting for that.

The notifications on xref changing are actually handy and good IMO.  SP1 fixes the problem though with reloading any but them what needs it.
